Question:
How do I access my downloads after purchase?

Answer:
There are two ways to download your purchased files:

1) After the initial purchase on the "Your Order Has Been Processed!" page, there is an area that says "Download your products here:". Click on each link to save the files to your computer.

2) You may also access your downloads after the initial purchase by logging into "My Account". Under "My Orders", click on "Orders I have made." Click on the specific order you want to look at. You should see links to the files you ordered. Files may be accessed up to 1 year after the initial purchase.



Question:
Why am I unable to purchase free downloads (e.g. Road Trip)?

Answer:
There are two ways to get free downloads such as "Road Trip".

1) Add them to an existing order (other things you're paying for)
2) Download directly from the main page under "Free Music"



Question:
Under what name will my credit card be billed?

Answer:
"Jon Schmidt Music Online" in Salt Lake City, UT



Question:
Do you accept PayPal within your online store?

Answer:
We can do paypal, but unofficially. We don't offer PayPal through Jon's site because it doesn't easily integrate into our system. However, if you do the following it should work:

1) Place all items of interest into your shopping cart
2) Proceed forward with the checkout process as if you were going to use a credit card (e.g. choose shipping method appropriate to your location/country).
3) Take note of the shopping cart total (in the left hand column) and the shipping amount (if there are physical items to ship). Add those two numbers together.
4) Go to paypal and enter "webmaster@jonschmidt.com" into the "To" field.
5) Use the total amount from part 3) as the amount and finish the PayPal transaction.
6) Send a message to "Web Technical Support" from the Contact page containing the following:
  i) that you are using paypal for an online transaction
  ii) the items that you have purchased
  iii) the total amount you paid through PayPal
  iv) address to ship the items (not necessary if all items are downloads)



Question:
Do you still have your piano teacher discount for books?

Answer:
No, but we do have quantity discounts on all our products, including 25% off for books, that may be of interest to piano teachers.



Question:
Will "North Pole Express" be made available as sheet music?

Answer:
Yes, it will be available September 2007 as a $0.99 PDF download.



Question:
Does Jon autographing my purchased item(s) slow down delivery?

Answer:
Potentially, yes. Jon is only available once a week for signing product and sometimes longer depending on his performance schedule. If "Next Day" or "Priority Shipping" is selected and you chose one or more products for Jon to autograph the items may not ship as quickly as you hope.



Question:
I can't find a product I'm looking for, what do I do?

Answer:
If you are unable to locate a product (usually sheet music of a given song) and have tried the product search feature and looked under the "store" menu, that means the product is currently unavailable.




Question:
Do you ship to international locations?

Answer:
Yes, we ship to all international locations. However, during May - August 2007 there was a shopping system problem preventing shipments to international locations. That problem has since been corrected.



Performances


Question:
Can I get Jon Schmidt to perform in my town?

Answer:
Yes. However, it may require you to help put on the show. Send a message to "Jon & Management Team" from the Contact page with your thoughts.



Question:
Does Jon perform at weddings?

Answer:
For marketing reasons, Jon has to limit his gigs to a performance format, as opposed to background. Since receptions are not conducive to a performance, the only way he can do a wedding is if it is a performance during the ceremony, dinner or luncheon. If interested send a message to "Jon & Management Team" from the Contact page with date and location.



Question:
Will Jon come perform at our corporate function?

Answer:
Yes. Please send a message to "Jon & Management Team" from the Contact page with date(s) and location.



Question:
Does Jon have "plants" when asking for an audience member to join him on stage to perform?

Answer:
No. Despite what other's may think, Jon has never used predesignated audience members to come up on stage to perform with him. This is a risk Jon takes in concerts. Sometimes it does not work out very well.



Education


Question:
Does Jon have a recommended lesson plan?

Answer:
Jon suggests to follow the 67 fun song weekly note-reading program exactly how it is laid out. Once a student knows how to read notes, he feels it is pretty much a matter of perfecting song after song. Series books are a great resource for collections of songs assembled and ordered progressively. The only drawback is that you often run into songs they don't like. You can cut these songs out and supplement with the songs from 67 fun songs, or anywhere else for that matter. The funnest series for kids seems to be Faber, but that is only his opinion.



Question:
When is your next Piano Teacher's seminar?

Answer:
Seminars are scheduled based on demand and are placed on Jon's Upcoming Events located on the home page. Check Jon's site from time to time or join his emailing list.


Communications


Question:
Do you share your email or mailling addresses with others?

Answer:
Never. We hate spam as much as you do. Our only purpose in us having your email address is to share with you Jon's performance schedule, product annoucements and giveaways.



Question:
If I'm on your maillist how often will you contact me?

Answer:
We try to limit our email communications to about once a month.
